After lunch I
went back to P2, because I suspected that it was teacher Dennis’ class. It was – science. They were studying animals. So I drew some Australian animals on the
board and wrote a paragraph about them after telling them all about the
animals. Some of their illustrations
were hilarious! I took photos of course!
After that,
library, and we talked to Jen about the crazy mzungu. Then home time. I stopped off at the internet café, and then
went to buy some notebooks and pencils for Shamim. She finished her maths notebook and didn’t
have any more. It is so much fun
shopping for her!
Late that night,
we watched Step TV, and saw Bushikori on the news – twice – once on the Lugisu
news and once on the English news. I
wrote down all the details of the program.
I was on both – they even had video (no sound) of me making the speech
about Ivan’s book on the Lugisu news! I
looked a bit of a dork, but it was so good to see Bushikori getting a bit of
the attention it deserves!
